Up to the 20th March, guided tours with “ciaspole” have been organised in the region, they are typical snowshoes to walk without sliding.

Carnia
Up to the 20th March, the Agenzia Turismo Friuli Venezia Giulia organises in different places in Carnia a lot of guided tours with “ciaspole”, the typical snowshoes, which must be wore on the normal shoes and allow you not to slide on the snow.
Different paths are envisaged, expert guides are there and know all the naturalistic and environmental but also historic and traditional aspects of the territory. These excursions are suitable for everyone, even a small physical training is needed. A proper wearing is needed.
The ciaspole are handed by the guide, but the poles are strongly suggested like sky wearing, gloves and cap, thermal shoes (not Moon Boot) gaiters to protect calves and sun glasses for day excursions and torches for those in the afternoon/evening and a bag with food and drink.
Each excursion lasts around 3 hours and the orice amounts to 5 euro. Children up to 12 year are free.
The registration is to be done before the 4.oo pm of the day before the excursion at the Turismofvg offices or at the hotels of Sauris, Comeglians, Ovaro, Sutrio and Lauco.
