Gubbio, Loggia dei Tiratori

We are standing in the wide square at the foot of the town, once the market square. It is overlooked by the Gothic church of San Francesco and the long Loggia dei Tiratori, built in 1603 by the corporation of wool weavers, who used it to iron their cloths. Above stands the hillside district of Gubbio, with the Palazzo dei Consoli.
