The scenography laboratory represented by the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome is one of the world's most famous studios where the ancient tradition of painting and creativity is preserved. The Art of the scenery has been exported in the world through the opera and the Italian theatre. Great masters, such as De Chirico, Guttuso and Manzu and many other important artists of 1900 worked here. Inside the laboratory, we find the paint shop, the kitchen laboratory, and the area dedicated to the costumes. Among the most prestigious costumes, there are the ones of Don Carlo Visconti and the one of Duke of Mantua. De Chirico fell in love with the costume of the Duke of Mantua and he decided to paint a self-portrait while wearing the Duke dress.
