Since 1300, the city of Gubbio, in the province of Perugia, has represented a landmark in all central Italy. The majesty of its architecture allowed it to be the protagonist of important movie sets, from Zeffirelli productions to many TV fictions. Each corner of this city tells something special. Piazza Grande is an hanging square of great charm, where, every May 15th , thousands of people gather together to attend one of the most representative event of the city: the Festa dei Ceri (Candles' Festival). From Piazza Grande up to Via dei Consoli, one of the most characteristic streets of the old town that leads to the famous fountain called Bargello. The unbroken tradition of the Palio della Balestra is also preserved within the ancient walls of Gubbio.
