Overview
There are many enchanting sceneries that Lake Sebino offers to the eye, and the small village of Lovere lying on its shore is certainly one of them. Precisely this position, important for controlling trade between the Lombard plain, the Camonica Valley and towards the Trentino and Adige valleys, meant that the village soon became a strategic location. To protect the town and its population, the village was fortified by numerous towers that are still visible, traces of the medieval past. Art lovers should visit the Basilica of S. Maria in Valvendra and the Tadini Fine Arts Gallery, but it is also pleasant to stay by the lake, chat, take short walks and enjoy the village's relaxed atmosphere.
