Accessibility

Introduction

We work constantly to make Italia.it and its content accessible to as many people as possible, without discrimination, including those who, due to disabilities, need assistive technologies or special configurations.

Accessibility is a path and ENIT is taking it with commitment not only to be compliant with legislation (EU Directive 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council, transposed by L. 4/2004) but, first and foremost, to enable everyone to discover and experience Italy and its beauties, by breaking down or minimising the obstacles to accessing content and navigating the official tourism website in Italy.

Accessibility “by default”

Italia.it is an ongoing project. Supported by specialists and with a view to improvement, we are constantly analysing, developing and updating the source code to make the sections, functionalities and content natively accessible.

Despite continuous testing, it may happen that you come across pages that are not yet, fully or partially, accessible to certain categories of users.

In order to identify and address such cases ENIT has integrated a feedback mechanism aimed at providing the user with a tool to report any anomalies, problems or obstacles to navigation.

More information can be found under “Feedback Mechanism”.

Declaration of accessibility

The Accessibility Statement is the instrument through which administrations make public the accessibility status of each website and mobile application they own.

The declaration is drafted and published using the application online https://form.agid.gov.it, created by AgID (Agency for Digital Italy) in accordance with the model established by EU Directive 2016/2102 (Annex 1 of the Guidelines).

Feedback mechanism

Since we believe that the goal of accessibility is not only compliance with regulations and technical requirements, but above all to meet people's needs, we invite anyone experiencing difficulties in accessing the information to report them to the following email to: info@italia.it
