In a valley at the foot of the Matterhorn (4,478m) stands Breuil-Cervinia, a holiday and ski resort. The symbol of the valley and of the entire Valtournenche is the southern wall of the Matterhorn, bounded on the left by the crest that terminates in the Colle del Leone, on the right by the steep crest of the Furggen.
