A variety of boats is moored in the tourist harbour of Desenzano, one of the best-equipped on Lake Garda. Desenzano offers many attractions, from the Duomo to the ruins of the Roman villa. One of the principal cereal markets in Italy was held here in the fifteenth century; it dictated the prices throughout the area of Veneto and in some German towns.
